If you’re interested in the emerging medium of Virtual Reality there’s two upcoming Introductory VR Developer Workshops in association with TAVES being organized by the Academy of VR on October 27th and 28th.
It’s a full-day workshop introducing you to VR game design and development. All attendees receive a free Google Cardboard VR headset and there will be Oculus Rift and HTC Vive demo’s, Q&A with VR designers / devs and networking time during the afterparty. By the end of the day you will have built a virtual reality submarine game and will walk away with a strong understanding of VR development skills needed to begin building your own experiences. It’s an introductory level workshop so no previous VR experience is required.
It’s the only hands on VR workshop of it’s kind in Canada so if you want to learn how to create virtual reality experiences see the link above!
$150 tickets include: 8+ hours of VR training, Google Cardboard VR Headset, catered dinner during the reception, Q&A with VR developers, networking event, VR design presentations and HTC Vive demo’s, plus a 3-day pass to the TAVES Consumer Electronics Show.
